As an anglophone Canadian, I always feel a bit of unrest at this motto. Canada has a rich and complicated history and I LOVE having two national languages. Each time I visit Montreal I fall in love with the culture (and gain 10 lb eating such amazing cheese and pastry) and am very grateful to have this diversity in my homeland. At the same time, this motto makes me wonder are French Canadians romanticizing the time before the English? The danger in romanticizing the past is that it can keep people from moving forward. Anyway, thank you for stirring all these thoughts in me with your work. It is very rousing, well done! v

A MARI USQUE AD MARE should be wrote under each license, but i think we should anyway be proud of our Roots... and put our own sentence on each province to remeber from where we came..use our roots to make our country greater... and no it's not a romanticizing of the french period... always remenber, but without living ion the past.. thanks so much for your opinion, this is thegreat of Canada, many opinion to built what we are
